Firelight Detection & Electrical Systems Ltd were contacted by the Galldris Group, a large contractor for HS2, to install fire detection and alarm systems at 15 of their site offices on the HS2 site within Balsall Common.
Firelight had to work closely with the project management team and fire risk assessments conducted for the HS2 site, whilst ensuring that we operated safely and efficiently to meet their strict deadline.
A fully addressable system was installed, with automatic fire detection and alarm systems installed to an L1 standard. Heat detection and smoke detection was also installed within contractor canteens and staff clothes drying rooms.
Finally, we conducted training for the Galldris HS2 senior leadership team on how to operate the panel and what to do in the event of a fire.
